Yad b’Yad at Stanford Members
Yad b’Yad at Stanford is an alliance of Jewish and Israel-related communities. While academic programs at Stanford – such as the Israel Studies and Jewish Studies programs -- are critical to Stanford’s Jewish and Israel-related communities, they are not members of Yad b’Yad. As such, these programs are included in the Resources section but are not listed in this directory, which includes only members of Yad b’Yad at Stanford.

Hillel at Stanford is the hub for Jewish life on campus, a thriving pluralistic environment where our students can explore and strengthen their identities, honor diverse perspectives, and explore their connections to Israel and global Jewish peoplehood. In partnership with the Stanford community, we strive to build a campus where Jewish students can grow into knowledgeable, confident adults engaged in Jewish life, now and after they leave Stanford. At Hillel, we believe that meaningful relationships are at the heart of everything we do. Our staff strives to get to know every Jewish student, meeting for coffee, introducing new friends, celebrating Shabbat and holidays, and creating opportunities for students to explore their passions through a Jewish lens. Our goal is to discover each student's unique passions and interests, allowing them to explore these passions in a Jewish context. In FY25, we connected with 80% of Jewish undergraduates and 50% of Jewish graduate students, a testament to our deeply relational approach. In an era of increasing complexity, polarization, and antisemitism, we equip Jewish students with the skills to live their Jewish lives with confidence, compassion, and a strong connection to Jewish people everywhere. We believe that vibrant Jewish life is not delivered to students but co-created with them. To this end, Hillel supports a wide variety of student-led clubs and communities, including the Jewish Student Association (undergrads), Stanford Israel Alliance, Challah for Hunger, AEPi, Gayvah/Jewish Queers, Tamid, Israeli@Stanford, and the Jewish Business, Law, and Medical Student Associations.
